Counterpoint gave their Farewell Performance in Buckfast Abbey on Saturday 20th June 2015.
The choir had been singing in the Abbey for 28 years with the support and assistance of Father Abbot and the Community.
| Contrapunctus Early Music Ensemble | Farewell and thank-you!David Acres, Counterpoint's founder and conductor, now lives in the USA. He is developing a new choir in Ohio, Contrapunctus Early Music Ensemble, and has founded The King's Counterpoint, a Renaissance/Early Music ensemble in Charleston, South Carolina. His solo and choral singing continues. Because of these commitments in America, Counterpoint's activities in the UK have now ceased. Many thanks to all of you who supported us over the many years! |
