By popular request we are repeating this concert from eight years ago. Henry, son of James I, died at 18 of typhoid fever. He was admired and liked by the population as a whole and his death was a huge blow to the country. He would have been Henry IX and on his death the ill-fated reign of Charles I became the heir apparent. The concert traces his short life and times through music, together with a re-creation of his funeral in Westminster Abbey on 7th December 1612. Programme:
